4th of July in Park City

We drove up to Park City on Saturday and went swimming. That felt great after being in a hot car all day long. On Sunday morning we drove to Salt Lake to listen to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It was incredible! We loved every minute of it. We also enjoyed walking around temple square. It was such a beautiful day!

We enjoyed the 4th of July parade in Park City. Jaime and Caleb came down to main street with us. The kids favorite float was the aerial ski jumpers on a trampoline. It was pretty cool to watch. I obviously made red, white, and blue shirts for the 4th. Jeff and I did not plan our outfit, but it seemed to go together well :-) .

It was so nice to be able to walk out the front door of the Marriot and sit on the grass for the fireworks. No driving, no traffic, AMAZING! It actually rained a little bit, but believe it or not I had an umbrella in the back of my car. I think I had it there from my recess duty days at school. I was thankful for it, and we loved the fireworks.

We enjoyed the rides at the mountain resort. The kids tried the trampoline this year. Jackson was the only one who even attempted a back flip. He was close, but didn't make it. Maybe next year . . . Jeff and I tried the zip line this time. It was pretty fun, but we all agreed that our favoite was the mountain coaster.

Early one morning Jeff took Madison and Jaden for a hike up behind the resort. First they walked through a jungle of sorts and then when they made it out of that they found SNOW! There were still 4 huge piles on top of the mountain. They thought it was pretty amazing that they found that.

We loved our trip to Park City and can't wait until next year when Steve and Pam will be back from South Africa. We miss them like CRAZY!

Spring Trip to the Farm

A few weeks ago we went over to Monteview and Idaho Falls to visit the farm. It was so fun seeing how things were doing on the farm and visiting with Lino and his family. They are doing such a great job while Steve and Pam are in South Africa. On the way over we stopped in Arco at Pickle's Place for lunch. We have driven by it a million times. It was fun to finally eat there. The food was delicious. Here are some pictures we took out front.

Here are a few of our favorite pictures from the farm . . .

Jaden thought he would be funny for this next picture. He layed down in the field to make the hay look taller. He is such a funny kid sometimes.

Lino was kind enough to lend the kids his hat and shovel for these candid photos. They loved it.

After we left the farm we went into Idaho Falls for a family picnic. Uncle Mitch was in town from Arizona and we also were able to see Grandma Jane and the Bingham Family. It was a beautiful day in the park!

We also had an opportunity to visit the graves of loved ones who had passed. This was bittersweet. We sure miss them in our lives.
